Incarnational Ministry

As the Jesus disciple living in the city, urban ministry is an incarnational ministry: living where you serve; serving where you live. This includes the metropolis as well as the neighborhood. How are you personally serving the diverse people of your urban sphere of godly influence? What needs are there to be met with compassion and action?

Let Us Rise Up and Build

What would happen if faithful disciples of Jesus Christ returned to and/or remained in our cities to repair the broken "walls" of its communities? Nothing short of revival and spiritual awakening. As ambassadors for Christ, we have received the Ministry of Reconciliation that Paul writes about in 2 Corinthians 5: 18-20. This is a ministry dedicated to restoring man's relationship with God, a ministry that God Himself has entrusted to His chosen people. If God counts us as His own, then this ministry of reconciliation is ours. Surely if we desire to come after Christ, we must deny ourselves, pick up our crosses daily and follow Him. He will, then, lead us into the broken places.
